If I was to contact Lonnie Brown (Jerry Lewis’ childhood friend/lifelong friend), what would be good questions to ask her? I’m thinking she answered at least most of the questions I had in her book. But I would love to hear what others have to say. I do have Lonnie’s phone number (from a friend of mine), but she is very old (not sure what state of health she is in), and I’m sort of hesitant in contacting a stranger like that over the phone.

I’ve often felt that way too. Lonnie said she didn’t ever have those feelings for him though. I’ve wanted to interview her or at least talk with her on the phone since I have her phone number. But she is very old now, and I feel awkward contacting a stranger.

By associations are you meaning friendships, or more like affairs? I don’t know if Dean had any sort of relationship more than a friendship with Polly Bergen. Polly and Jerry didn’t get along apparently at all. It seems she thought he was being mean to her, by things he said or games he played on set. Honestly, she sounds like she seemed to have confidence issues towards the beginning of her career, so she might have been easily affected by remarks Jerry said. Or he simply chose to be a jerk to her which may have happened, when their personalities did not gel. Some female co-stars got a long great with either both, or just one of them. Lizabeth Scott remembered her time on Scared Stiff in later years, as good. But at the time people reported that she had had a trying time, and was annoyed by Jerry’s impersonations of her, But it is rumored that she had an affair with both Dean and Jerry.

Dean and Shirley MacLaine were friends, but not close until later. Jerry made a subtle pass at Shirley, and she chose to make an excuse and leave. Jerry and Shirley did get along on set other that, though he was stranger than she expected I guess. haha

I don’t know much about Dean’s relationships or friendships with any of the other co-stars in the Martin and Lewis films, or whom Jerry himself didn’t like. I know that Corrine Calvet and I believe Jackie Loughery weren’t fans of Jerry’s wild behavior on set. In contrast, obviously a co-star like Janet Leigh was good friends with both Dean and Jerry.

It was odd that Jerry got sick the week of what would have been Dean’s 100th bday. Then it was a couple of months before he passed.

This one guy was like you don’t get that he’s Jerry Lewis’ son! So freaking what? It does not give him the right to call me a little person who should go work in my skill set and sell shoes with insane amount of arrogance he did. He is no better than me, or anyone else. Get your head out of Anthony’s ass. I’m not going to take his bullshit and be ok with being talked down to. I’m not here to kiss his son’s ass. I wouldn’t even kiss Jerry’s ass, and I love him.


It’s been quite a day. First the Anthony Lewis argument, now Rick Sapphire (whom I don’t trust not to lie) is out there saying Ronnie Lewis is biologically Jerry’s son (which me and Kayla suspected for years now), and NOW I found seemingly another page added to the FBI files of Jerry Lewis with this new section of The Caddy outtakes added of Dean singing!

I knew the day would come when I would virtually get to bitch slap Anthony Lewis across the face, and today was that day.

We have been Facebook friends for like 8 yrs, and I haven’t blocked him only because he sometimes posts about Jerry and it’s interesting to see what he says. He has even oddly commented on posts of mine about his dad, and said he “loved him too.”

Anyway lately he has been shit talking Mel Brooks and Milton Berle randomly on a friend’s post, and saying his dad didn’t really like them, etc, and saying they were untalented and stealing material. Like it just seemed unnecessary to bash them as artists when people do the same thing about his dad, Jerry.

Anyway today he told this story

I and another fan commented with the correct dates and said Anthony and Jerry were incorrect. There are articles to support that Hollywood or Bust was filmed in April to June of 1956 making it the last one they filmed.

Someone commented that it wasn’t polite to correct him. I stated:

Then Anthony decides to be a pompous ass and insult me. And apparently I should be selling shoes. Lmao

BTW he did not personally know Cecil B DeMille, because the director died 9 MONTHS before Anthony was born!! We get it you know famous people, so why exaggerate random ones? LOL

Anyway that hissy fit comment made my whole year, and I will always laugh about it.

I laugh reacted to his comment, then Anthony decided to call me a creep for knowing facts or anything about his family. So I messaged him privately and said all this.

I didn’t even go into that time where Anthony and Gary Lewis had a public argument on Anthony’s post 10 yrs ago, and said some disturbing personal stuff about Chris and Joseph’s relationship. Anthony is often talking about family stuff on his personal fb in the comments.

Somehow we’re still fb friends. Lol He left and didn’t respond or deny anything I said against him.

I have no problem calling him out on his shit. The only reason people care about anything he has to say is because of who his father was. I’m not sure why he went off about my talents, when he isn’t even in the entertainment industry. I am, but go off I guess.

Celebrities aren’t gods. And “legacy” children are a bit sad. But they have enough obvious problems and like the above, I wish them the best in thus difficult world. OP you had more compassion than I could have shown.

I’ve had such anger and disgust for his actions for years, but in the end after his sad outburst, I just felt like he is a damaged person just like Jerry was, that needed to heal. Felt sad for him in that way, even though he is a POS, and a privileged asshole at 63, who thinks we’re “little people” with limited skill sets that only should sell shoes apparently. Our argument isn’t over, and I might hear from him again tomorrow or soon.
